Isaac and the Wells

Genesis 26

A famine drives Isaac to Gerara, where the Lord renews to him the promises made to his father Abraam. Isaac tells the men of the place that Rebecca is his sister, is exposed by Abimelech, then prospers greatly and redigs his father's wells amid strife with the Phylistines before making a covenant of peace with Abimelech at the Well of the Oath.
