Esau Sells His Birthright
Genesis 25
Abraam takes another wife, Chettura, and fathers more sons, then gives all he has to Isaac before dying at a hundred seventy-five years and being buried beside Sarrha by Isaac and Ismael. The chapter lists the sons of Ismael and records the birth of Esau and Jacob to Isaac and Rebecca, closing with Esau selling his birthright to Jacob for bread and pottage of lentiles.
