Micah's Idols

Judges 17

A man named Micah returns stolen silver to his mother, who dedicates part of it to make a graven and molten image, which Micah sets up in his own household shrine along with an ephod and household gods. A wandering Levite agrees to serve as Micah's priest, and Micah supposes this arrangement will bring him the Lord's favor, in a time when there was no king in Israel and each man did as he saw fit.
