The Birth of Isaac
Genesis 21
Sarrha bears Isaac to Abraam in their old age just as the Lord had promised, and after the child is weaned, Sarrha has Agar and her son Ismael sent away into the wilderness, where God provides for them and Ismael grows up to become an archer. The chapter closes with Abraam making a covenant with Abimelech at the well called Beersheba, the well of the oath.
