The Rescue of Lot

Genesis 14

When a coalition of eastern kings defeats the kings of Sodom and the surrounding cities and carries off Lot among the captives, Abram pursues them with his household servants, defeats them, and recovers Lot along with the plunder and people. On his return Abram is blessed by Melchisedec, king of Salem and priest of the most high God, to whom he gives a tenth of all he has recovered.
