Saul Rejected for Sparing Agag
1 Samuel 15
Samuel commands Saul, in the Lord's name, to utterly destroy Amalec and all that belongs to it, but Saul and the people spare King Agag and the best of the flocks and herds; Samuel confronts Saul for this disobedience, tells him the Lord has rejected him from being king, and himself puts Agag to death before the Lord.
