Dedication of the Temple
1 Kings 8
Solomon assembles the elders of Israel to bring the ark of the covenant into the newly built temple, where the glory of the Lord fills the house as a cloud, and Solomon offers a long prayer asking the Lord to hear the prayers of Israel and of foreigners toward this place, followed by a great sacrifice and a seven-day feast.
