Israel's Rebellion in the Wilderness

Psalms 105

This psalm confesses the sins of Israel's fathers, who failed to understand the Lord's wonders at the Red Sea, quickly forgot his works in the wilderness, made the golden calf at Horeb, and joined themselves to the idols of Baal-peor and Canaan, even to child sacrifice. It recalls how the Lord repeatedly delivered them despite their provocations, and closes with a prayer that he would gather his people again from among the nations.
