The Gifts of the Twelve Princes
Numbers 7
At the dedication of the altar, the princes of the twelve tribes bring wagons and oxen for the Levites' transport duties, then each prince in turn, one per day for twelve days, brings an identical set of silver vessels, gold, and animals for offering. The chapter closes with a summary of the totals and notes that Moses heard the Lord's voice speaking to him from above the mercy seat.
