Glad Tidings to the Poor
Isaiah 61
One anointed by the Spirit of the Lord declares that he has been sent to preach good news to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim liberty to captives, and to comfort those who mourn in Zion with joy in place of ashes. The people are promised they will be called priests of the Lord and will rejoice as a bridegroom and bride adorned for a wedding.
