Eden and the First Woman
Genesis 2
God rests on the seventh day and blesses it, then the narrative recounts the forming of man from the dust of the earth, his placement in the garden of Edem with its four rivers, and his naming of every animal. Finding no fitting companion among them, God forms woman from Adam's rib, and Adam receives her as his wife.
