The Defeat of Og

Deuteronomy 3

Moses tells how Israel defeated Og king of Bashan and took his sixty cities, and how the conquered land east of the Jordan was divided among Reuben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh. The Lord refused to let Moses cross the Jordan into the land, telling him instead to view it from a mountain and to commission Joshua to lead the people in.
