Psalms 17

David sings his love for the Lord as his strength and deliverer, describing a dramatic scene of earthquake, smoke, fire, and thunder as God comes down to draw him out of deep waters, then recounts his rescue from powerful enemies, his victories in battle, and the Lord's continuing mercy toward him as his anointed king and his descendants.
