The Memorial Stones
Joshua 4
After the people finish crossing, Joshua has twelve men each take a stone from the midst of the Jordan and set them up as a lasting memorial of the crossing, while twelve more stones are placed in the riverbed itself. The armed men of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasse cross over for battle, the waters of the Jordan return to their place, and the people encamp at Galgala.
