The Long Day and the Southern Conquest
Joshua 10
Five Amorite kings besiege Gabaon for making peace with Israel, so Joshua marches through the night to relieve the city, and the Lord routs the enemy with hailstones while the sun and moon stand still until Israel finishes the victory. Joshua then captures the five kings hiding in a cave, executes them, and goes on to conquer a series of cities across the southern hill country.
