The Remnant Seeks Guidance

Jeremiah 49

Joanan and the remaining leaders and people ask Jeremiah to seek the Lord's will for them and promise to obey whatever answer comes. After ten days the Lord's word arrives, urging them to remain in the land under the king of Babylon's rule and warning that going down to Egypt for safety will instead bring upon them the sword, famine, and the same wrath poured out on Jerusalem.
