Egypt, a Vain Refuge

Isaiah 30

The Lord rebukes his rebellious people for seeking help from Egypt instead of from him and for refusing to hear true prophecy, warning that this misplaced trust will collapse like a suddenly falling wall. He promises that when they turn back to him he will heal their affliction, bless their land abundantly, and overthrow the Assyrian by his own voice.
