The Genealogy of Moses and Aaron

Exodus 6

The Lord again promises Moses that he will bring Israel out of Egypt by a mighty hand and renews his covenant with Abraam, Isaac, and Jacob, though the discouraged people do not listen. The chapter then records the family lines of Ruben, Symeon, and especially Levi, tracing the descent of Aaron and Moses.
