2 Chronicles 36
The chapter recounts the brief and evil reigns of Judah's last kings, Joachaz, Joakim, Jechonias, and Sedekias, culminating in Nabuchodonosor's destruction of Jerusalem and the temple and the exile of the people to Babylon, and closes with Cyrus king of Persia decreeing that the exiles may return and rebuild the house of the Lord.
