Roboam Fortifies Juda

2 Chronicles 11

Roboam is stopped from warring against Israel by the word of the Lord through Samaias the man of God, so instead he builds and fortifies cities throughout Juda, receives the priests and Levites who leave Jeroboam's kingdom, and takes many wives, begetting numerous sons and daughters.

ThomsonNOW when Roboam came to Jerusalem and had assembled of Juda and Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand of the young men who were warriors, and was going to war with Israel, to restore the kingdom to Roboam;
